Description: Aly Miller was commissioned by Robin to create illustrations for their to-go sushi boxes at their Menlo Park location. Each box needed an eye-catching, easily-understood map of what customers could find inside, clearly labeled and illustrated to match the locally-inspired sushi and sides found inside.
Aly worked closely with co-owner Michael Huffman and chef Adam Tortosa to make accurate and brand-aligned illustrations that customers would enjoy.
After the illustrations were created, Aly designed the menu layout for each box, in a way that clearly depicts each element of the meal in a color palette that supports and compliments the sushi illustrations. Each menu design involved a careful consideration of ingredients, perspective, and visual harmony.
Each illustration was created in Procreate and Photoshop, using handmade texture. AI was not involved in the creation of these menus.
