Client: Nourish Organic Juice Bar
Description: Nourish Organic Juice Bar commissioned Aly Miller to create a new logo and brand for her organic juice bar in Lake Country, Wisconsin.
Aly worked 1:1 with Nourish owner Allie Starck to develop a logo that reflected the ingredients and pre-existing brand identity in the shop.
Two logos and a complete Brand Identity Guide were created. Here you can see the oval logo with several illustrations of the medicinal mushrooms, herbs, seeds and superfoods that are incorporated into their smoothies. A secondary logo, featuring a beet was created for smaller items like juice bottles and business cards. The oval logo can be found across social media, juice cups, and embroidered on their aprons in the cafe.
This illustration was commissioned by Ollie dog food to celebrate their new partnership with Petco. Ollie promoted this storefront illustration on social media to announce that their products are in-store at select Petco stores nationwide.

After approval, she digitally illustrated it in color, using Procreate.

Client: Katie Leard of Martha’s Vineyard Pasta
Description: Aly Miller was commissioned by Martha’s Vineyard Pasta to expand and refresh the brand’s logo and identity. Aly had the pleasure of developing a library of pasta illustrations, all based on photos shared by the pasta maker. The images were licensed as stickers and labels, and we chose one to be the hero image of her logo. The result was an arched logo, featuring Aly’s hand lettering, in multiple colorways. It was important to create images that could be used flexibly across Katie’s labels, allowing space for her hand written labels at times. The result is a colorful, totally unique brand identity that has hand-drawn illustrations to match the energy of her handmade pastas.
I created this inked illustration about my experience with a pharmaceutical injury. It resonated with my community, and was turned into a popular sticker by WhattheFlox.com to raise awareness for Fluroquinolone Toxicity. Below is what I wrote about my experience.
“For me, Fluroquinolone Toxicity Syndrome feels like hundreds of tiny car crashes happening inside the body, resulting in pain, tendon damage, and muscle loss. Over time, the crashes have become less massive, but I’m still waking up to pain in new places that could last hours to days.
Please be careful, friends. Trust your body and your intuition, don’t let anyone tell you that it’s all in your head.“

This logo was created for Justica en Salud (Justice in Health), a free clinic in Tijuana run by border midwives who offer holistic care to pregnant refugees and their children. I worked closely with midwives there to create this design, which features an illustration of an infant growing out of corn, surrounded by symbols of nature and herbal medicine. In indigenous mythology, corn represents the survival, resilience and growth of indigenous people and traditions, from which new life grows.
It was an honor to bring this logo into the world. It has since been printed on t-shirts, stickers, and prints to raise funds and awareness for the clinic. You can support their efforts with a teeshirt, found here!
I created this series of 120 illustrations and animations of childrens' developmental milestones for the Alliance for Children's Rights, for a child development tracker called Watch My Baby Grow, developed by Square M Solutions. I worked closely with Matt Klahorst and Paul Sadler to develop these concepts and fulfill the illustrations and animations in a systematic way for this project.
This tool helps parents navigate their baby's developmental milestones, and learn about each stage of growth. It is available for download, and lives online, in both English and Spanish. I enjoyed working on this project because
I was commissioned by Bearing Birth LLC to design a logo and branding scheme, featuring a primary and secondary logo, brand marks for social media, supporting illustrations, and a repeating pattern. Bearing Birth LLC is a sophisticated and down-to-earth service for support around the birthing and postpartum experience. The brand identity draws inspiration from nature, medicinal plants, and the mirrored concepts of blooming and birth.
This logo was created for Lou Lou Lactation Services based in San Francisco. My goal for this logo was to create a brand mark and logo that felt warm, welcoming and abstract with supporting illustrations.
I designed this logo for the Native Roots Farm Foundation, a non-profit organization dedicated to celebrating Native American cultures, protecting open space, cultivating a public garden, and practicing sustainable agriculture.
Created for the Greene Hill Food Co-op in Bed-Stuy, Brooklyn. This mural celebrates the spirit of cooperation, featuring crops that grow synergistically, known as “The Three Sisters” (corn, squash and beans).
This logo was designed for Cassandra Gonzalez, a personal chef in the Bay Area. For this design, I focused on hand lettering, and abstract shapes inspired by Cassandra’s fresh, colorful cooking.
Custom twist ties convey a message to customers about the way food was grown, and the farmer's values. These were designed for Certified Naturally Grown and have been utilized by hundreds of growers across the US.
I was commissioned to create technical illustrations of e-bikes by the University of Washington Urban Freight Lab and Genius Creative in 2023, for a white paper called Biking the Goods: How North American Cities Can Prepare for and Promote Large-Scale Adoption of E-Cargo Bikes. As a cyclist myself, I was proud to contribute illustrations to support the infrastructure around e-bikes and cargo bikes.
This paper aims to inform urban planners about what cargo e-bikes are, how they have been successfully integrated into large US cities, and how to adopt these strategies in other cities.
I worked closely with the UW-Urban Freight Lab and Christine Wadden at Genius-Creative to develop concepts for the cover, the color scheme, and to create accurate and appealing e-bike illustrations and icons.
I worked with Tythe Design to create illustrations for the Health in Action Toolkit, an initiative of the Bureau of Harlem Neighborhood Health at the NYC Department of Health. I made dozens of lifestyle and public health illustrations for this initiative, to illustrate innovative community projects, participatory grant-making processes, and community meetings.
This logo was created for the West 9th Street Block Association in the historic Greenwich Village of New York City. It draws inspiration from the long history of artists residing here, and the gingko trees that line the block.
Madame Fromage (AKA Tenaya Darlington) commissioned this portrait logo for her rebrand. For this logo I drew her portrait and created a color scheme with a vintage-airline look and feel.
I designed and illustrated 30 inspirational quotes for Openfit. I was inspired by yoga, nature, and my own endeavors in meditation and mindfulness.
